Boogaloo was written 3 years ago and we've been playing it live ever since. In the meantime the sound evolved from a straightforward afrobeat groove to a more elaborate psych/afro/funk sound. During the studio production between 2021 and 2022, we brought in synthesizers sounds and analog effects on the saxophone, creating a colored and trippy melodic section. At the same time, the groove is driven by a solid vintage electric piano, supported by drums, percussion, bass and electric guitars.
